The parents of Natalina, Maria Carmela, Gaetano and Maria Scrugli were Antonio Scrugli and Caterina Cipollina. This page will contain as much as I can find about them and their family.
Antonio Scrugli and Caterina Cipollina were married in March, 1850. They were married in a double ceremony with Caterina's brother Ferdinando Cipollina who married Antonio's sister Natalina Scrugli. They were all married in Tropea at the Santa Caterina church. Below are links to their marriage banns and marriage acts.

Antonino Scrugli was born around 1826 to Antonio Scrugli and Caterina Morono. So far I have found only 2 sisters for him. Natalina Scrugli and Mariantonia Scrugli. Mariantonia Scrugli married Antonio Boragitea(?) and died in the nearby town of Briatico in 1898. Her age on her death record listed her as 65 years old. The family of Antonio is mostly unknown to me at the moment but my search continues and it is clear that the family began to branch out throughout Catanzaro Province in the 1800's. Since I know there were Scrugli's in Briatico, Drapia, Spilinga and other nearby towns, I will probably need to access those records to make all the connections. This story will continue as I find more information.
Although the surname Scrugli is uncommon, I have found Scrugli's in towns other than Tropea. Through documents of Ellis Island Ship manifests, birth, marriage and death records of the stato civile in Cosenza (the city), Drapia, Splinga and Falerna I have found several "pockets" of small families throughout Calabria. All the documents I have seen from Splinga list the Scrugli families there as farmers. A Scrugli who listed his birthplace as Reggio Calabria immigrated to the United States. My own Scrugli family moved to Cortale when Antonino Scrugli was assigned a political post there. And I cannot leave the family legend that our Scrugli's had a connection to Sicily. I have found no proof of this but I am hoping I will soon.
Francesco Paolo Scrugli was a criminal court judge who resided in Cosenza. He married a local woman named Emmanuela Mozzillo on August 11, 1814 in Cosenza. In 1815 they had a daughter Maria Teresa Dorotea Scrugli. In 1818 they had another daughter Dorotea Scrugli. Dorotea married a local man named Mario Spada who was a property owner by profession. Was Francesco Paolo Scrugli born in Tropea? I beleive he was but I am waiting for his marriage document to see the place of his birth and his parents names.
